I recently had the privilege of being a member of the photo team for the 2012 World Choir Games, a biennial event which was held for the first time in the United States this year in Cincinnati, Ohio.
For those unfamiliar with the World Choir Games, it can be described as "the Olympics of choral music." Choirs from across the globe congregate to perform and compete in a variety of musical categories, from folklore to barbershop with many in-between.
The event, organized by German group INTERKULTUR as an effort to bring people of different nations together in peace through music, began in 2000 under the name the Choir Olympics, and has been held every other year since.
From July 4-14, the city of Cincinnati was buzzing with activity from choir participants, volunteers and performance-goers.
Below is a selection of my images from the 7th World Choir Games. More of my photos can be viewed on my Capture Cincinnati page, where the images can also be purchased.
